Albright College is seeking applications for Assistant Swimming Coach and Assistant Aquatics Director.  Albright College values its talented, diverse community and seeks to attract, hire, and support employees who consistently and actively embrace a culture of full participation.  For this 10-month, full-time position, assist head coach, who is also the Aquatic Director, with day to day operations of the program; on deck coaching responsibilities; off campus and on campus recruiting; oversee use of Front Rush; dryland and fitness workouts; oversee the Academic Studies program; assist with administration of the aquatics operations.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Assist head coach with day-to-day coaching on deck.
  2. Help to create a full participation culture for every member of the team.
  3. Recruit prospective student athletes on and off campus.  Evaluate player talent for recruits.
  4. Organize recruiting communications and campus visits.
  5. Assist and monitor dry-land training.
  6. Assist with program fundraising and budgeting.
  7. Assist with ordering equipment.
  8. Assist with planning of team travel.
  9. Maintain team social media pages.
  10. Aid the director in the administration of the aquatics program, including management of the Aquatic Center, site supervisor for swimming lessons, and staffing of swim instructors and lifeguards.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications/Prerequisites:

  1. COMMUNICATION:
    • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Knowledge of social media platforms and ability to maintain team pages.
  2. SKILLS:
    • Collegiate swimming or coaching experience necessary.
  3. EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE:
  4. EDUCATION:
    • College degree or equivalent required.
  5. LICENSES:
    • Drivers license required.
    • Child clearances required.
    • Certifications desired for this position include, LGI, Basic Lifeguard, and CPR-FPR.
