      For 2016?
      No.
      Perhaps 2020. We’ll see.

My kid swam against Hitchens a few times at high level AG meets. He is really good, and a mature, composed young man. He is a sure in for a D1 college.

It may be a bit premature to crown him the next Olympian. He is not even the fastest freestyler on his team, NOVA. Check out his teammate Owen Kao, who is exactly the same age (to the month) as Hunter. Owen is faster than Hunter by a lot in any free events 200M or greater.

Bottom line: we are seeing some really, really good swimmers who were born in 2000. Good luck to them all.

    Great photos.

I’ve remarked a new tool on swimswam! :)
    Like or dislike.
    Haha!
I’ve tested it above and it works.
I will not use it in the future but many swimswam readers will have fun with that toy.
I presume the goal is to have more like than dislike.
OMG! I’m sure I will have plenty of dislike in the future!
    No problem with that! :)

Good looking kid. Hope he stays humble and focused. Maybe a shot at the 2020 team. Especially free relays since he was #1 freestyler in the nation as a 13 year old and already ranked in the top 5 nationally having just turned 14. Good luck kid. Nice interview too. Feet well planted.
