Florida Prepared for Phillips 66 National Championships

SAN ANTONIO — Fifteen members from the University of Florida men’s and women’s swim team are scheduled to represent the Gators in San Antonio at the 2015 Phillips 66 National Championships from Aug. 6-10. In addition, three former Gators and two members from the Gator Swim Club will also take part in the five-day competition.

 

Troy’s Take on the Phillips 66 National Championships:

“It’s always good to have athletes that are serious about their summer training and racing. This week’s championships are a great opportunity for many of our swimmers to compete at a high level to cap off the summer before we head into fall workouts and the start of classes.”

 

Quick Hits about the Phillips 66 National Championships:

  • Competition will take place at the Northside Swim Center in San Antonio, Texas.
  • The meet will serve as the selection event for the USA National Junior Team competing at the FINA World Championships from Aug. 25-30 in Singapore.
  • The event is organized by USA Swimming, and is held in a long course(50m) pool.

6 Seniors: Arthur Frayler, Natalie Hinds, Justin Kairslik, Sierra Kuhn, Ashlee Linn and Austin Manganiello

4 Juniors: Nicholas Alexiou, Autumn Finke, Taylor Katz, Alyssa Yambor-Maul

5 Sophomores: Andrew Brady, Caeleb Dressel, Georgia-Mae Hohmann, Ben Kennedy, Mark Szaranek

1 Freshmen: Hannah Burns

2 Gator Alums: Nick D’Innocenzo, Nikita Denisyako
