For more commitment articles, be sure to check out SwimSwam’s College Recruiting channel.

Danielle “Dani” Keymont, who trains with Central Brevard Swimming-Islin, will continue her swimming career at the University of Florida. Keymont is one of the fastest sprint breaststrokers in her class and top recruits in the state of Florida:

  • 100 breaststroke- 1:01.66
  • 200 breaststroke: 2:16.58
  • 200 IM- 2:07.54
  • 50 breaststroke- 29.06

Keymont’s time in the 100 breaststroke qualifies her for Summer Junior Nationals. In 2015, she was the Florida State 2A Champion in the 100 breaststroke in 1:02.18 for Merritt Island High School. She also finished 4th in the 200 IM. Keymont improved dramatically in that year- in 2014 she finished 11th in 1:09.77.

Keymont also won the 2015 Florida Senior Championships in the 100 breaststroke with the personal best listed above. The following summer she qualified for the US Open with a 1:11.63 in the 100 breaststroke she recorded at the Arena Pro Series Orlando.

She could be a scorer right away for the Gators, her 100 breaststroke would have placed her in the C-Final at the 2015 SEC Championship. Florida had two scorers in that event, none of whom will be on campus by the time Keymont arrives.
