Denver sweeps Summit League weekly swimming awards, SDSU claims both diving honors

Denver’s Kyle Milberg and Sam Corea were named Summit League Swimmers of the week, while South Dakota State won both diving awards with Connor Florand and Olivia Olesiak.

Milberg won three individual races and a relay in Denver’s big home win over the Utah Utes. He won the 100 back (49.34), 100 fly (49.15) and 200 back (1:48.60) and swam on the pool-record-setting 400 medley relay to help the Pioneers past Utah.

Corea won four races herself against Utah, winning the 100 back (55.89) and 100 fly (54.82) individually. She also swam legs on the 400 medley and 200 free relays that both won and set pool records.

Florand won on 3-meter against the University of North Dakota, scoring 312.08 points, and also took second on 1-meter. Olesiak also won the 3-meter contest against UND with a score of 236.10 and finished third on 1-meter.
