The team of China has dominated the 13th edition of the FINA Synchronised Swimming World Cup, organised in Québec City (CAN) from October 2-5, 2014 after winning the Duet, Team and Free Combination events. In the Team Highlight, the gold medal went to Ukraine.
In the events that are also part of the FINA World Championships programme – Duet, Team and Free Combination – the supremacy of China was complete, with the winning pair Xuechen Huang/Wenyan Sun opening the way for a great exhibition of their team in Québec City. In these three events, the composition of the podium remained unchanged, with Japan getting the silver and Ukraine finishing in the third position.
In the Team Highlight – where China was not present, and where the focus goes to the acrobatic performances of the athletes -, Ukrainian swimmers managed to beat their challengers, getting the last gold at stake in the competition. The home team of Canada got the silver, while Mexico was third.
