Caldwell Named St. Bonaventure Assistant Coach

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Lauren Caldwell has been named an assistant coach for the St. Bonaventure University women’s swimming team, head coach Krista Carlson announced.

A 2015 alumna of St. Bonaventure, Caldwell was a consistent point-scorer throughout her career with the Bonnies and a contributor in the distance freestyle, IM and butterfly events. She finished her career as the Bonnies’ record-holder in the 200-yard IM.

“I am thrilled to have Lauren joining us on the pool deck this season,” Carlson said. “She is enthusiastic and eager to learn the coaching side of the sport. Lauren was one of the hardest workers on the team and to have her on the pool deck coaching, critiquing and encouraging our student-athletes is only going to benefit our program.”

A native of Jamestown, N.Y., Caldwell will assist with all aspects of the program. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the St. Bonaventure School of Education.
