Brazilian Olympians Fabiola Molina and Diogo Yabe Expecting First Child

Two of the great Brazilian swimmers of the last decade, Fabiola Molina and Diogo Yabe, are expecting their first child, according to Brazil’s Blog do Coach.

The 39-year old Molina retired in late 2013 while still Brazil’s best sprint backstroker, citing the desire to have children before it was too late as one of the motivating factors. She is a three-time Olympian and a five-time Pan Am Games medalist.

Since retirement, Molina has turned her foucs to her personal swimwear line full-time.

She and her husband Yabe, who is only 33 and was on Brazil’s 2004 Olympic team, will be expecting a girl.
