Brazilians finish big in Open Water at South American Championships

On the final day of open water swimming at the South American Championships in Chile the Brazilians, as expected, dominated the team pursuit event.  The Brazilian team consisted of Ana Marcela Cunha, Allan do Carmo and Diego Villarinho finished the 3 km race in a time of 34:05.29. Ecador was second clocking 34:44.24 and Chile took the bronze with a time pif 34:54.93.  The Brazilian team was the clear winner in the open water events with 2 golds (Allan do Carmo won the men’s 10K) and a bronze (Ana Marcela Cunha was 3rd in the women’s 10K).
