Jared Markham

Jared Markham
Jared Markham is a team-captain at the University of Georgia where he’s majoring in Sport Management. Born March 16, 1993 to Steve and Shannon he is currently in his senior year as a Bulldog. He’s competed in the same three-event lineup every year at the SEC Championships: 200 IM, 400 IM, 200 backstroke. The senior is from Centennial, Colo. where he swam for the Aces Swim Club and won Junior National titles. Markham is a big football fan, and he’s very involved in the student-athlete welfare at Georgia. He is a member of the University of Georgia Sports Business Club, and he also was appointed to the Student-Athlete Academic Committee. He also apparently loves being around the pool, given his work experience; he worked as a Swim Instructor for SwimLabs and he also worked at Life Aquatics in management and maintenance. Markham will leave Georgia as one of its fastest swimmers in history – prior to the 2015 NCAA Championships he posted one of Georgia’s top-10 fastest times in the 200 backstroke and 400 IM.
