Back to Berkeley in, “That Red Shirt”

In his first year as the Women’s Head Coach at Stanford, Greg Meehan has the Cardinal on a roll. They swept through Arizona with wins in Tucson and Tempe and then returned home to set pool records in wins against in-state rivals UCLA and USC. Next weekend is the biggest dual meet of the year against their biggest rival, Cal. After spending 4 years as the assistant for the Cal men, this will be Meehan’s first year on the other side of one greatest rivalries in college swimming.

In this interview with Garrett McCaffrey, Meehan discusses the Stanford season so far, his return to Berkeley, signing superstar Lia Neal, and  his approach to preparing a team for championship season.
