Hopefully Schmitt can go out the first 200 in 1:59 in London and bring it home in 2:00.
IMO– Schmitt has an incredible shot to win gold in London in the 200 free. Pelligrini doesn’t have the speed, and I think Muffat and peligrini are the clear cut favs in the 400, no doubt about that. The big question will be whether Muffat steps up or not, but either way these middle distance frees are going to be INTENSE.
If she wants to medal at the Games she will have to balance her splits better, she can can do it . I think her 200 will be awesome.
Good race but not impressive race. Camille Muffat is able to swim under 4 minutes. We don’t know how is Federica Pellegrini. I think Allison Schmitt can finish second.
