Mitch, Thanks for taking the time to reply! I’m glad to hear it. I don’t know if Penny will be able to make the improvement she would need to make the 4×100 in the next year, but I expect her and Taylor Ruck to qualify for the Olympics in something. What a talented pair! But I would really love to see at least Canada’s women’s 4×100 medley and free relays fighting for a place on that podium!

Team Canada needs to more top freestyle sprinters working with Michelle, Chantal and Sandrine (top 3 at Canadian Trials in the 50 and 100 free) at their high-performance center in Toronto, because whatever they’re doing is working well! If they can get a strong #4 the Canada women’s 4×100 in Rio may do very well!

It’s unfortunate that whoever selected Canada’s World Team didn’t think Luke Reilly and Alec Page were (along with numerous other National Champions) competitive enough to be a part of the squad. No, they didn’t make the posted Top 16 standards, but neither did 6/9 of the other men chosen or a number of the women. I wish them well in their preparations for the Pan… Read more »
