15 year old Jarryd Baxter and 12 year old Luan Grobbelaar both dominated their age groups at the South African SA National Level 3 Age Group Championships which were held in Port Elizabeth over this past weekend.

Baxter’s most impressive performance was in the 15 year old men’s 200 freestyle where he posted a time of 1:51.91, setting a new South African age group record.

Baxter also lead the Waterborn Swimming Club to an overwhelming overall victory in the competition.

Grobbelaar won all of the same events as Baxter with the addition of the 50 butterfly. Grobbelaar broke the 12 and under records in the 200 IM (2:16.43) and 50 breaststroke (32.75).
